Common Thread Learning Design is based on the unceded ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and səlilwətaɬ Nations in Vancouver. Our work and relationships also extend to Puerto Escondido and the coast of Oaxaca, where we recognize the enduring presence and cultures of Chatino, Mixtec, Zapotec and other Indigenous and Afro-Mexican communities.
As a remote consultancy, we work across many distinct Indigenous lands, homelands and treaty territories throughout North America. We understand acknowledgement as a starting point — one that must be reflected through respectful relationships, fair compensation, community authority and responsible stewardship of cultural and intellectual knowledge.
